The North Carolina Black Women Empowerment Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated supreme mission is to advance the wholeness and total well-being for black women through deliberate social, economic, physical, mental health and educational initiatives.
The North Carolina Black Women Empowerment Network (NCBWEN) was established on July 3, 2003. It is an organization that is committed to the causes of our communities and black women around the state of North Carolina. Its supreme mission is to advance the wholeness and total well-being for black women through deliberate social, economic, physical, mental health and educational initiatives. The NCBWEN based in Raleigh, NC provides workshops, scholarships, and mentorship to black women of all ages.
NCBWEN has operated on the following programmatic goals to enforce its mission in serving the communities of the state of North Carolina.
• Empower and advance Black women through our programmatic initiatives.
• Identify and implement opportunities for dialogue, networking and exchange through featured guest speakers and platforms to discuss relevant and pertinent information.
• Maintain continuous commitment toward deliberate resolution of problematic issues concerning Black women and our communities through education and assistance.
• Maintain volunteerism to community and provide determined levels of financial assistance.
The activities that we are passionate about, but not limited to, involve developing programs to mentor young women and provide scholarships for college, working with the community to provide assistance to women in need of food and clothing, and to educate women on physical and mental health issues.
NCBWEN believes that every woman deserves to have a voice and reach their highest potential. Therefore, our goal starts with creating programs to educate women about health, social economics, and education.
